Last week Page Six reported that Ashley Baker, a fashion editor at Glamour, had resigned. This summer she attended a law firm conference to give advice on what to wear at the office. Apparently, in front of a group of African-American female lawyers, she said “afros were out.” A few months later an article was published in a law journal complaining about her comments about the natural state of black women’s hair. EIC Cindi Leive was shocked and embarrassed by the article.
